FRANK L. MAURO graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.B.A. in 1970, attended the University of Houston Law Center, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1973. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1974.
He is Board Certifed in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board Of Legal Specialization and has been since 1979 when he moved to Lake Jackson. "Board Certification" requires at least five (5) years of practice before one can even apply to take the certification exam in Austin. He was one of the first attorneys in Brazoria County to be Board Certified in Civil Trial Law. He is only one (1) of four (4) such attorneys practicing in the county. This goal was accomplished after only practicing for five (5) years.
Frank is currently a member of the Probate, Real Estate and Trust and Litigation sections of the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the Texas Bar Foundation.
He also serves as City Attorney for City of Richwood.
On a personal note, Frank was born in Houston but has resided in Lake Jackson, Texas for over 25 years. He is married to Lana Mauro, his wife of 30 years. Frank and Lana have three adult children, Lucas, Leighton, and Lauren.
